Municipal Broadband

In response to resident feedback, the City of Newark evaluated the feasibility of implementing a City-wide Municipal Broadband Network that would allow residents and businesses an alternative option for high-speed internet. CTC Technology and Energy was contracted to perform the feasibility study, which included residential and business surveys to gauge public interest.

A sample of residents and businesses throughout the City were asked to complete either a printed or online survey to gather information about this topic. CTC Technology and Energy has compiled the results and provided a comprehensive report to the City to help City Council and staff make decisions on this initiative. We are appreciative to those who provided feedback on this topic.
