Community Day 2021 has been CANCELLED
Out of an abundance of caution, the Newark Parks and Recreation Department and University of Delaware have canceled Community Day scheduled for Sunday, September 19 on The Green.
The University requires guests to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test to attend an event hosted on their property. With multiple entry points, it would be impossible to ensure all attendees have met the requirements to participate.
The City of Newark's Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with the University of Delaware and the Christina School District, present the area's premier fall festival. This exciting event features fun for the entire family.

The Green provides the perfect outdoor venue for local musicians and demonstration groups. A food court will have a variety of foods. Fine art and homemade craft vendors will be displaying and selling their creations.
The children's area is always a big hit with scarecrow making and more. Community information booths and activities are supplied by a variety of local businesses and organizations.
On Main Street, enjoy dining and retail specials at Main Street merchants.
Please remember, pets are not comfortable in the heat and crowds of large events, so for their safety and the safety of those attending the event, please leave your pets at home.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in participation with the National Endowment for the Arts. The division promotes Delaware arts events on www.delawarescene.com.
