Election Board Meeting

Tuesday, November 23, 2021

A quorum of the Election Board will be in the Mayor’s Conference Room and Council Chamber throughout the City Election Day. Board members will be troubleshooting any issues at the polling places, delivering meals to the poll workers and answering questions that may arise throughout the day. At 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, the Election Board will be opening, but not counting, the ballots in preparation for the Absentee Judges meeting at 5:00 p.m. Any challenges to any absentee ballots must be made prior to the opening of the ballot envelope for the voter being challenged per 15 Del. C. §7578(2). After the results of the election are in, the Election Board will move their session out to the Council Chamber where the unofficial results of the election will be announced at approximately 8:45 p.m. or as soon as the count is completed.
