[ARCHIVED] City of Newark Lifts Snow Emergency, Declares End of Storm

Winter Storm END

City of Newark officials have lifted the Snow Emergency and declared the end of the storm at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2. Unicity bus service remains suspended due to the suspension of on-campus University of Delaware activities. 

Residents and businesses are reminded that sidewalks must be clear of snow or ice 24 hours after the City declares the storm has ended. Citations will be issued for non-compliance in accordance with Municipal Code, Sec. 26-3 - Removal of snow and ice from sidewalks and private property.
