City of Newark officials announce the Snow Emergency has been lifted and the end of the winter storm was declared at 1:00 p.m. today, February 19. Per Municipal Code, Sec. 26-3, residents have 24 hours to clear sidewalks of snow and ice; however, with freezing temperatures expected tonight and over the weekend, the City encourages clearing these spaces as soon as possible. Citations will be issued for non-compliance.
