March 10, 2017 – On Friday March 10, 2017 at approximately
11:50 a.m. the Newark Police responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 622
South College Avenue for a report of a bank robbery. Officers arrived on
scene and learned that the suspect approached a teller, implied that he
was armed and demanded money. The suspect fled the bank with an
undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen fleeing south bound
on South College Avenue in a newer model black Nissan Altima.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25
years old, 5’07” to 5’10” tall, slim build, slight acne scarring on cheeks,
wearing a black hooded jacket.
