All Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are advertised for three days in the News Journal newspaper in the Legal Section (Bids & Proposals). These bid documents are also posted to this site and www.newarkde.gov/bids and emailed directly to a list of bidders found through staff research.
After a bid opening is held, a recommendation to award a contract to a vendor is made by the City Manager's Office to City Council at a regularly scheduled council meeting.
Bid openings are held on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. at Newark City Hall (220 South Main Street, Newark, DE 19711).
