City Manager's Office

On behalf of the City of Newark, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our vibrant community. Whether you’re a first-time visitor, long-time resident, a student pursuing your education, or considering making this town your home, I’m happy to have you here!

Newark blends history with a forward-thinking vision. We’re proud of our Main Street, our parks, trails and open spaces, and our thriving cultural scene. As City Manager, I want to ensure you that you have access to the resources and services that make Newark a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. Our city is proud to provide many award-winning services, including:

Public Safety: The Newark Police Department has been accredited since 1997 and has been recognized nationally for professional excellence.

Parks and Recreation: Newark boasts more than 600 acres of parkland across 35 parks and recreational facilities, and hosts countless entertainment, fitness, and outdoor programs.

Public Works: We provide refuse collection services, fall leaf collection, and maintain city streets and infrastructure.

Public Utilities: Newark operates its own award-winning utilities and provides exceptional electric, water, stormwater, and wastewater services to commercial and residential customers within municipal limits.

To make it easy to connect with us, many city services can be established and accessed online.  If you prefer to speak to someone directly, our capable customer service staff will be happy to serve you. You may reach them at 302.366.7000 or visit in person at 220 South Main Street.

Thank you for visiting the City of Newark.

Sincerely,
