Utility Bill Payments & Electric Service Requests

Welcome to SilverBlaze! Your gateway to online utility account information.SilverBlaze offers interactive modules for detailed insights into your water and electricity consumption. 

Sign up to easily monitor your usage with user-friendly charts, enroll in electronic billing, schedule custom alerts, and take advantage of AutoPay and Budget Billing options. You can also analyze your utility bills and request services directly through your SilverBlaze portal.

NOTICE:

  • SilverBlaze may be down for maintenance every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. EST. During this time, access to the portal will be unavailable. 
  • Participation in the Renewable Energy Program is optional. To opt out of the service, please complete the opt-out form and submit to customerservice@newark.de.us.

Click here to create your SilverBlaze account! Please ensure you have a valid, active email address and your most recent utility bill handy, as these will be needed for the account validation process.

Open or Close a City of Newark Utility Account

Non-owner occupied properties (rentals) can easily open or close a utility account through their SilverBlaze account, allowing you to avoid long lines and phone calls. 

Other Payment Methods

The Payments and Utility Billing Department accepts walk-in payments Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 The City uses a Newark banking branch for all banking activities, while utility payments are directed to the regional lockbox address above to ensure timely processing.
