City elections are held on the second Tuesday in April. City residents register only once for all local, state, and federal elections.
You can request to have an absentee ballot be sent to your home. To request an absentee ballot for city elections, please contact the City Secretary's Office at (302) 366-7000 or email citysecretary@newark.de.us.
You may make an appointment between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the City Secretary's Office where you may vote in person.
