1. What are the Alderman's Court hours of operation?

Court hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., excluding city observed holidays. Walk-in customers are welcome until 3:00 p.m. daily and court employees are available by phone until 4:00 p.m.

You can plead not guilty in writing by the arraignment date on the ticket by fax (302-366-7062), mail Alderman’s Court, 220 Elkton Road, Newark, DE 19711 or bring it in person to the same address. Print the form located here:http://www.cityofnewarkde.us/DocumentCenter/Home/View/1587, fill it out and return it to the Alderman's Court 10 days prior to your arraignment date.
