How can I plead not guilty?: You can plead not guilty in writing by the arraignment date on the ticket by fax (302-366-7062), mail Alderman’s Court, 220 Elkton Road, Newark, DE 19711 or bring it in person to the same address. Print the form located here:http://www.cityofnewarkde.us/DocumentCenter/Home/View/1587, fill it out and return it to the Alderman's Court 10 days prior to your arraignment date.

1. What are the Alderman's Court hours of operation?: Court hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., excluding city observed holidays. Walk-in customers are welcome until 3:00 p.m. daily and court employees are available by phone until 4:00 p.m.

2. Why did I receive a summons for a parking ticket I already paid?: Your payment was not received before the 30-day limit. Therefore, the fine is doubled and a late fee is assessed.

3. Is there anything I can do about this parking ticket I don’t think I deserve?: You can protest your ticket within 30 days on a Tuesday or Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Otherwise, the payment is due in full.
