How can I get a refund or credit for an activity?

REFUND/CREDIT/TRANSFER POLICY

  1. Registrants will receive a full refund if the program is cancelled by Newark Parks and Recreation. 
  2. If you are unable to attend an activity, contact us at least 24 hours prior to the program start time. You may choose one of the following options:
         A. Credit your account for the amount paid (credit is valid for one year from the date of issue);
         B. Transfer to another activity;
         C. Receive a refund for the amount paid, less a processing fee of $10 or 10% of the program cost, whichever is greater. 
  3. If you are not satisfied with an activity, please contact us within 5 business days after the final class or meeting. We will offer to credit your account, transfer you to another program, or refund the amount paid less the applicable processing fee.
  4. Credit card convenience fees are non-refundable. 
  5. Credits and refunds do not apply to trips, events and adult sports leagues. 
  6. Please allow 3 - 4 weeks for refund processing.
